Andaz Aligns with Cultural Insiders and Creates Virtual Salon
To continue tapping into the cultural interests of its guests and neighborhood residents, Andaz announced the next phase of the Andaz Salon – a virtual venue AndazSalon.com allowing guests and neighbors to connect and inspire creative minds. Now, with the newly launched Andaz Salon website, new alliances with The FLAG Art Foundation as well as travel media brand AFAR Media, and a fresh calendar of on-property events. Andaz Salon events takes place at all Andaz destinations around the world, and delivers an occasion for guests and neighbors to mingle and engage in cultural discussions. Andaz Salon will bring creative inspiration to even more culturally-savvy travelers.
The Stedelijk Museum names Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht its preferred hotel
Aedes Real Estate, Hyatt and Marcel Wanders announced today a donation to the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. The major financial gift by Aedes, Marcel Wanders, and a Hyatt affiliate is made on the occasion of the official opening of Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht, the first Hyatt hotel in the Netherlands.
The new supporters of the Stedelijk Museum aim to connect local residents as well as international visitors to the arts and culture in Amsterdam. For example, Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht showcases a permanent video art collection of 40 unique pieces from various emerging and established local and international video artists throughout the hotel.
Initiators Paul Geertman of Aedes Real Estate and Marcel Wanders envision the high-end lifestyle hotel as a new hotspot for guests, visitors and the creative community. “Mixed use of spaces has always been a major theme in my work. It creates dynamic places that attract a variety of people. Developing the Andaz enabled us to create a new place to share art with a broader audience. To me it was a logical step to intensify the bonds we had already built with the Stedelijk Museum and the City of Amsterdam in our shared passion for contemporary art and local culture,” said Paul Geertman.

Andaz Maui at Wailea to team up with Chef Masaharu Morimoto
Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort & Spa and acclaimed chef Masaharu Morimoto are pleased to announce that they will team up to unveil Morimoto Maui, which will focus on the seamless integration of traditional Japanese culinary techniques with local, Hawaiian ingredients. Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort & Spa and Morimoto Maui are scheduled to open in Summer 2013. The opening of Morimoto Maui will complement the resort’s personalized amenities and will offer an unforgettable dining experience for guests.

Art Seen At Andaz
With a nod to a notorious past of music and mayhem, the Andaz West Hollywood returns to its artful “Riot House” roots with an air of refinement with the opening of “Art Seen at Andaz,” a rotating collection of artwork by local artists.
A destination for art appreciation outside museums and galleries, new installations will rotate biannually and highlight the eclectic groupings of art already at the hotel. As it is Andaz culture to embrace the local scene, guests can admire (and purchase) local artists paintings and installations.
Art Consultant Merry Norris has provided advisory and curatorial services for many years to private collectors, public institutions, developers, law firms and now the ANDAZ West Hollywood, where she places Los Angeles artists on a rotating basis to be enjoyed by guests of the hotel and the restaurant RH.
